The year 2017 unfolds with laurels as yet another feather was added to Chitkara’s cap. NCC Cadet Anmol Singh Spal, a third-year student of Chitkara School of Computer Science and Engineering, Chitkara University, was adjudged “Best NCC Cadet” and was awarded “Baton and Silver Medal” by Prime Minister of India Narender Modi on Republic Day Parade at Rajpath, New Delhi.
Cadet Anmol had to face indeed a tough competition with other cadets in order to get selected for the award but he cleared the requisite parameters with flying colours and emerged as a clear winner.
NCC (National Cadet Corps) India is one of the most powerful organisations in India. It is a platform for the youth of India to develop life skills, leadership qualities and youth exchange programs. Every year the NCC declares the best cadet at the Republic Day parade and this year it was Cadet Anmol. A cadet needs to know a lot of things before being selected and is tested on various grounds like a drill, weapon shooting, turn out, written exam and interview and also the overall conduct..
